Arpita, who came to the medical camp from a remote village in Semiliguda, Orissa, was suffering from severe abdominal pain. The eight-year-old devotee was unable to go to school because she was suffering from persistent jaundice. The parents were moved to tears when they came to know that the operation would cost Rs 2 lakh.
Arpita received a blood transfusion and her health improved before the surgery. After a four-hour surgery, she was also taken to a room. The parents’ faces watered when they saw that the surgery, which cost Rs 2 lakh, was carried out without spending a single money.
One of the pediatric surgeons from the medical team said to Dr. Babitha: “I believe God brought us here to revive this child. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your great service and service to these poor people “.
