Sendhwa Free Medical Camp – 2016

In 2016, God provided an opportunity to Dr. Babitha to do a medical camp for a day and a half where about 300 people had gathered to see her and consult about their health issues. Pretty soon she realized that sitting there with a stethoscope and a paper and pen is not what they needed, majority of the people there had surgical issues. At least 70 to 80 ladies who came to see Dr. Babitha had complete uterine prolapse. On further enquiry it was found that most of them had this for 10 to 15 years!

God put a burden in the heart of Dr. Babitha and she wanted to do something about it and so upon her return to Delhi she started contacting other like – minded surgeons who could join with her in this venture.

In 2019 God enabled Dr. Babitha and the team to do two camps where about 102 surgeries were conducted absolutely free of cost to these poor and needy people.

Majority of them were ladies with complete uterine prolapse, but there were men and women with several other surgical issues like Hernia, Gall bladder removal, stones, huge tumors and neurofibroma etc. Several Pediatric surgeries were also performed by the pediatric surgeon who came from CMC Vellore.

In the coming years Dayspring is looking forward to doing many more of these kinds of camps to help our beloved sisters and brothers in the remote villages of India.
